A life giving drop of an idea
It is not raining rain but raining drought in most parts of the country and farmers are in a pitiable condition. Praying for divine intervention is all fine, but why not light a candle rather than curse the darkness.
A simple idea came to mind- In parts of the country where the rain Gods have been benevolent, why not collect the falling rain water into open rail wagons waiting on railway tracks .Once they are filled up,they can move towards drought affected parts of the country and provide the much needed succour to millions. Isn't something better than nothing.
Please note that this is a cruder version of the much touted solution of diverting excess water from one place to another but where politics comes into play, making the exercise though practically possible, politically impossible.
